Siege Units
Siege units act before anyone else in every round. From the middle or back row they fire their ranged attack
at a column: a random enemy in the front row and the units standing directly behind it. The front-row target takes the full roll less its armor. The shot then loses force at every unit it passes through, so the unit behind takes 33% of that and the one at the back 10.89%. In the front row a siege unit fights with its melee attack instead.
- A siege shot reaches a little past the front row, but it is the front-row unit that takes the hit. Against a lone unit a siege unit is just a slow archer.
- Siege units that carry a Bombard order can reduce an enemy city's defensive bonus from an adjacent tile. The city rebuilds 5% of it per turn once it has gone 5 turns without being bombarded.
