Melee Units

Melee units fight in the front row with their melee attackMelee. They are the wall the enemy has to get through. Flanking and siege attacks can reach past them, but ordinary melee and ranged attacks always land on the front row.

  • In the melee phase every front-row unit attacks a random enemy in the opposing front row. A ranged unit that has been pushed into the front row fights this way too, with its weaker melee attack.
  • Because the front row takes most of the hits, a melee unit's armorArmor and hitpoints matter as much as its attack.
  • Melee units with Counter-Flanking punish enemy flankers that reach the back row.
